 A Dutch ebony table clock
The architectural case with triangular pediment and inlaid with mother-of-pearl bandsand a hinged glazed door, the black velvet lined dial with a silvered Roman chapter ring, pierced gilt hands and a silvered plaque inscribed Anthonius Hoevenaar fecit Leyde, with a hinged glazed door to each side, the four-pillar movement with a later silk suspended pendulum, anchor escapement and a countwheel on strike, case and movement adapted, restorations 42cm. high x 31cm. wide x 12cm. deep Christies 2000.
